If you've also not come across Mike before, you will be able to savour his restrained yet effortless, honest vocal delivery.

The guitar work weaves a web around his voice bringing the two elements together as one and the same. You will find humour, one or two good tales and maybe a couple of tall ones too!

Mike is among the finest singers and songwriters this island has ever produced. The lyrics of his well crafted songs, delivered with a voice that will raise the hairs on the back of your neck, conjure up emotions from deep inside. He has been compared to many other artists but in fact he is simply an original, no compromises, what you see is what you get. Gordon Giltrap MBE

Mike Silver has a golden voice with great tone and range. His fine crafted songs have memorable melodies that lodge themselves in the brain. He’s a pretty mean guitar player too. Steve Tilston

We have all heard the never ending superlatives used to describe the artistes that grace the stages within and without the UK….best kept secret…best songwriter you may never have heard of…in a class of his own… I heard Mike first in the late 70’s when I travelled to Europe, he stood out then as he does now. Any of the above apply to him, quite simply, he is the songwriter’s songwriter. If you see his name anywhere, don’t miss the chance to see and hear him… Phil Beer
