The DellyWellyBoot Band will be doing a fundraising concert in aid of Friends of Frank Wise School, hosted by Pop-up Folk. It is in Finstock Village Hall, OX7 3BU, Friday 7th July, doors open 7.15 for 7.45 start. Bar available before we start and during the interval. Entry: adults £8 on the door (so as to be in line with the usual Pop-up Folk ticket price); children: entry fee by voluntary donation. 

The band are: Nick Hooper (guitar/vocals), Judith Hooper (fiddle/vocals) and the very wonderful Susanna Starling (vocals, bass). We perform a varied repertoire from covers of songs by Leonard Cohen or Tom Waites, to Susanna’s own quirky and original songs, and our own tunes, together with some traditional songs and tunes as well. As well as supporting guest artists at Pop-up Folk, we have performed elsewhere in Oxfordshire including at Oxford Folk Weekend and the Unicorn Theatre in Abingdon, and have supported the Cornish band DALLA and the folk legend Martin Carthy. On 7th July, as well as performing in the DellyWellyBoot Band, Susanna will sing and play bass for her own solo songs, and Nick and Judith will perform as fiddle and guitar duo Henderson:Hooper – and we will be joined by local storyteller Georgie Steele for a short story slot.
