Rachel Chai is a singer/songwriter based in Oxfordshire and performs at venues and festivals as a solo performer and with the Folk Gospel and Blues Band.  Her music is routed in English folk music, interpreted with a contemporary twist.  As well as producing her own CDs, she has supported other artists (including Martyn Joseph) and done session work for other musical projects. She is one of a handful of folk musicians who have won the Bill Bailey Award for Performance (awarded as part of Chipping Norton Music Festival Folk sessions) on three occasions.
