Named after the old Northumbrian word for twilight, The Darkening includes Kathryn Tickell (Northumbrian smallpipes, fiddle, vocals), Amy Thatcher (accordion, clogs, synth, vocals), Kieran Szifris (octave mandolin), Joe Truswell (drums), and Josie Duncan (vocals, clarsach).
