This is Silver Street’s Ceilidh Band’s first trip to Oxfolk and they come with a fine pedigree. They are an eclectic group of some of the finest (and friendliest) musicians on the scene. Although a London ceilidh band, their music has roots in the rich seam of traditional music in Scotland and the North East of England. They boast decades of experience of playing for dancing between them (despite their youthful looks…), and know how to ensure we have a fabulous time!
The band are: Beth Chamberlain and Martin Clarke on fiddles, Joe O’Connor on button accordion (formerly of BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards winning Last Orders) and Will Chamberlain on piano.
We are delighted to have Will Hall, one of our favourite local callers back, and he’ll be sharing a unique collection of dances with us, and explaining everything clearly and probably telling a few stories along the way.
Doors open 7.30pm, dance starts 8pm and ends 11.30pm
Tickets are available on the door only
