Random has long been a favourite band with Oxfolk and we are delighted to welcome the refreshed line-up to Kennington.  Original member, Paul Nye on melodeons, has been joined by Penny Kempson (Out of Hand) on fiddle, Adam Courthold (Woodpecker Band, Ceilidhography) on drums, Dean Clay on bass guitar (also a busy multi-instrumentalist) & Jack Hogsdon on guitar (solo artist at Folk Weekend Oxford in previous years).

Rock steady rhythm, great tunes and utterly dancible is Random down to a “t”.  You can look forward to dancing to new arrangements of existing material and also new tunes, many of which have been written by Penny and Paul.

We last saw Sarah Clough calling at Folk Weekend Oxford with Melrose Ceilidh Band. She’s cool, calm and collected and has some great dances for us!

Doors open 7.30pm, dance starts 8pm and ends 11.30pm

Tickets are available on the door only

Oxfolk is a long-running ceilidh series that is currently based in Kennington Village Hall, just outside the Oxford ring road and a few minutes from the A34. Dances run from October to May on the second Saturday of the month, although the April dance is usually run in conjunction with Folk Weekend: Oxford, so doesn't follow the normal pattern.
