Cry Havoc are a mixed Cotswold morris side based at the WI hall, North Hinksey Lane, Botley, Oxford. We perform a selection of dances from the traditions of Headington, Bampton, Leafield, Adderbury, Bledington, and Lichfield and have even written a couple of our own. From September to April we practise every Thursday evening at the WI, then during the summer months we dance out at a variety of pubs and local events. In recent years we have been regulars at Chippenham, Oxford, Long Wittenham, White Horse, and Wallingford Bunkfest festivals.
Our website is a mixture of morris magazine and Cry Havoc diary/calendar. It contains regular features such as Meet the Morris (an interview with a member of Cry Havoc), Before They Were Morris (pictures of Havoc members in their youth), and What's That Instrument (about some of the strange instruments we play), plus photos from recent events. Issues of the magazine appear quarterly at the beginning of January, April, July, and October. You can find it at http://www.communigate.co.uk/oxford/cryhavoc
