Hampshire-based Threepenny Bit are an example of how traditional dance tunes and contemporary sounds can be blended into a fresh interpretation of folk music.  Jazz and classical influences can be heard in this irresistibly dancey music with a big, big sound.  They are favourites at Folk Weekend Oxford, Sidmouth and many other festivals and are really excited to present them to you as our Christmas present to you all.

They are: Jason Beaumont - flute, bass guitar; Ruth Burrows - alto saxophone; Helen Gentile – clarinet; Hannah Gray - flute, low D whistle; Ross Gordon - drums, percussion; Chris Nichols - violin, viola; Josh Robson-Hemmings – guitar; and Steven Troughton – accordion.

Caller Fee Lock is known for clear and concise instructions and a deliciously dry sense of humour, all served up with a cut glass accent and much elegance and poise. It’s great to have her back at Oxfolk again.

Doors open 7.30pm, dance starts 8pm and ends 11.30pm

Tickets are available on the door only

Location Kennington Village Centre, Kennington Road, Kennington, OX1 5PG
