*WORKSHOP: We'll start at 2pm with a newcomers' workshop to get everyone up to speed if you've never been balfolk dancing before (it's simpler than you think!)  

We'll also give a few tips for those who know some figures and want to improve their dancing (focusing on ease and joy!).

A bal miniscule is a FREE informal European folk dance and music session in a public place where everyone is welcome to join. Musicians play, dancers dance, newcomers join, people meet & friends are made.

Events like clandestine mazurkas are part of the social dance ‘bals-folk’ tradition in many countries in Europe. The music is varied - lively, soulful and rich in spirit.

The atmosphere is relaxed, and there's always a chance to grab a bowl of chips and make friends between dances too.

(LFT test on the day encouraged to help keep eachother safe)

Bring your family, friends, children, loved ones and come dance with us!

Dogs welcomed, and there's lots of different spaces to move around in if you need a quiet space too!
