If you’re missing your annual fix of carol singing this year, do come and join us for our LTYLR Christmas Choir!

We will be having a big old carol sing in the afternoon of Sunday 6th December, from 3-4.30pm, where we will sing through around 20 hearty and joyous Christmas/Winter songs, along to recordings from Oxfordshire choirs Rising Voices, Chipping Norton Singers, and Local Vocals. There will be four Sunday evening rehearsal sessions where choir leader Cat McGill will run through the songs – she won’t be teaching them from scratch as it would take until next Christmas to get through that many songs(!) but Cat will teach melody lines and run through harmony lines for those who feel confident to have a go. Recordings of separate parts, and sheet music (when we have it) will be provided in advance for singers to practice outside of rehearsal times, ahead of the big carol sing on Sunday 6th December.

All sessions will take place on Zoom so singers will need to be muted, but you will be able to see each other and hear the recordings from previous years’ singing, so hopefully it will feel a *little* bit like you are all singing together!
