"One of the best bands I saw all week [at Sidmouth Folk Week]" -- Richard Arrowsmith; Hekety, Glorystrokes, The Melrose Quartet

"Thanks for a fantastic evening... It was without a doubt the best ceilidh I've been to, and I hope to dance with you again soon" -- dancer at Oxfolk ceilidh

"... really excellent... Great combinations and changes of instruments and arrangements, and very danceable too." -- Vicky Lindsay; Phoenix Ceilidhs

Triptych are a three-piece ceilidh band playing stompy dance music for English ceilidh.

They draw their material from a variety of sources; largely English and English-style tunes (including some self-penned), but their search for awesome tunes has also taken them further in to Europe - their set list includes a waltz from Belgium and a Swedish schottis!

Despite being relatively new to the ceilidh scene, Triptych are fast gaining a reputation as a band to watch out for, and are in demand to play at ceilidhs and festivals up and down the country.

Triptych are: Cat Kelly (fiddle, cello, flute), Oli Matthews (saxophone, melodeon), and Pete Ord (guitar). The variety of instrumental combinations makes for very interesting listening, and the fact that all three are seasoned ceilidh musicians means that the music is irresistible to the feet as well as the ears!
